There is a stage when the greyness of the city becomes intolerable – not only the colours are dull, so are the smells and tastes… a break is needed to regain spent energy – clear light, bright colours, heady frangrances, unadulterated flavours! A precious reserve of energy is what the uncontaminated Nature of the Italian Riviera offers its visitors, who are greeted in surprisingly diverse landscapes that range from gently caressing Mediterranean maquis, dotted with olive groves steeped in the fragrance of the sea, to the typical Italian gardens.
During this exclusive tour we’ll visit the Hanbury Botanical Gardens, 18 hectars of beauty and Nature on the promontory of Capo Mortola, few kilometers from the border between Italy and France. Approximately half of this area is cultivated as garden with the marginal presence of native vegetation dominated by Pinus halepensis. Thanks to the unsual mild climate, plants from all over the world are able to acclimatize in this shelter afforded by the proximity of the nearby mountains, and the proximity to the sea.
Before driving back to Sanremo, we’ll pass through another path, and you will enjoy the view of the elegant gardens in Bordighera. Here you’ll discover and enjoy the Mediterranean landscapes painted by Monet, a sort of forest of olive groves, palm trees, Mediterranean flowers, and local aromas.
We can customize the tour in advance (adding the visit of ancient mansions, according to your wishes, for an additional fee).
